Simple arithmetic of AurumCoin

Previously dead coin AurumCoin (AU), which has been pumped recently, all of a sudden has come to live. Some regular attempts can be seen now to raise public awareness to it, and according to the AU official site, the closest target is to make 1AU equal to 1oz gold.

However, a couple of weeks ago a relatively modest plan was published through Twitter claiming to achieve parity with only 1 gram of gold before aiming at ounce. Globally developers set to raise value of AurumCoin up to 1 kilo of gold price and to become a single cryptocurrency of the world. In fact, 1 gram gold costs $38.45 while 1 ounce reaches $1195 at the moment.

The value of AU, once skyrocketed to the level of $1786 in early September, has quickly plummeted to $22 where it is currently being held. That means, its price has to be as 55 as much as it is today to attain the level of an ounce of gold.

That strange pump happened on Crypto Hub Online exchange while other places didn’t respond in no way holding AU price between $30 and $40 so far. Also, someone stole 1500 AU coins in August, which eventually were traded for BTC. It has to be pointed out AU value has been gradually rising since the beginning of 2018 starting from around $3 and peaking at $34 in May. It didn’t fall under the level of $10 per 1AU ever since.

Who is going to bring AurumCoin back to life is completely unclear as nobody has revealed plans for it yet. There is no any single evidence on who, when and how much will provide gold to backup AU is it was announced before.

Original developers abandoned the project a couple years ago as a Bitcointalk member mentioned in a dedicated thread for AU that the creator sell his share and fled. Thus, the question is, who’s pushing the subject and for what purpose? As some anonymous users promote AU mainly on Twitter and Bitcointalk, no relevant information about the team behind the project is provided on the official site. It looks like these hollow declarations are set to pump AU once again to rip off those suckers who will buy it.
