IBM has tripled the number of blockchain patents over the past year. Currently, in the US, the corporation has patented 143 blockchain solutions. Thus, IBM becomes the leader in the number of patents granted in the United States.
Competition IBM can make only the Chinese Internet platform Alibaba. At this year Alibaba has filed 262 applications to patent its blockchain solutions – reporting Securities Daily Agency.
When the number of blockchain patents triples in a year, it says a lot about market potential.
