From November 21 to November 23, 2018, the main annual autumn event of the Internet industry (and related sectors of the digital economy), the 11th Russian Internet Week (Russian Internet Week — RIW 2018): www.riw.moscow, will take place at the VDNH in Moscow.
RIW is an event with an 11‐year history, year after year gathering key figures in the world of IT business, government, start‐ups, global business. This year, for the first time in the history of the Forum, it will be held on the territory of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements — in Pavilion 75.
The organizer of RIW is RAEC (Russian Association of Electronic Communications), support is provided by specialized government agencies, all key players in the IT industry.
RIW and Internet EXPO are the main annual autumn events of five industries at once: Internet, Media, Telecom, Soft (including the topic of import substitution) and IT.
RIW is a multi‐threaded forum, a large‐scale exhibition, a modern digital technology show and many cultural and entertainment events:
Internet FORUM 2018 — more than 20 thematic block conferences and dozens of practical workshops, in the framework of which more than 700 speakers, industry, business, government, and the IT community will make presentations;
Internet EXPO 2018 — a large‐scale exposition of the achievements of Russian and foreign IT companies, aimed at both professionals and ordinary users of the Russian Internet and digital technologies;
Internet SHOW 2018 — demonstration of digital technologies, exclusive presentations of products and technologies in the format of RED DOT, specialized product demo zones and technology laboratories;
RIW.NIGHTS is a series of extra‐curricular cultural and entertainment events (awards, presentations and promotions), many of which will be held in the evening format.
Traditionally, the RIW is attended by the first persons and representatives of the relevant state authorities responsible for the development of the Digital economy, representatives of all players of the Russian IT industry and related industries, users, students, and the media. In total, over 25,000 visitors will take part in the event over the 3 days of its work: about 5,000 Internet specialists (Forum participants) and about 20,000 users of digital services and technologies (visitors to the exhibition and open forum events).
RIW is an effective platform for discussing industry achievements and trends, for government‐business dialogue, for inter‐sectoral dialogue.
Russian Internet Week is a place for meetings, training, networking, stormy discussions and dialogues, an interweaving of professional interests, where experts and recognized experts from the IT industry and Media industry, representatives from the related industries, employees of Russian and foreign companies, government officials, Representatives of relevant ministries and departments, journalists, students of relevant universities, and ordinary Internet users.
